Located in Tucumcari, NM, Klett Ranch has a long and rich history in the cattle business with over 55 years of experience in raising high-quality livestock. Klett ranch is committed to producing robust calves that thrive, benefitting from careful management and proven genetics.


Sourcing and Genetics

Klett Ranch emphasizes the importance of superior genetics in their cattle. These calves come from a super powerful set of cows and the bull genetics come from some great ranches in New Mexico, including:

  • Charolais bulls from Grau Ranch in Grady, NM.

  • Charolais and Black Angus bulls from Bill King Ranch in Moriarty, NM.

  • Red Angus bulls from Wilson Beef in Carrizozo, NM.

  • Hereford and Black Angus bulls from Perez Cattle Company in Nara Visa, NM.


On the cow side, Klett Ranch utilizes genetics from great sources, including:

  • Red Angus and Charolais heifers from Brorsen Bluestem in Perry, OK.

  • Charolais heifers from Grau Ranch, Grady, NM.

  • Black Angus heifers from Pat Riley in Los Lunas, NM.


Management and Nutrition

The calves from Klett Ranch are fed a year-round Anipro liquid supplement along with an XF trace minerals and vitamin premix, ensuring they receive optimal nutrition supplementation throughout their development.


Health and Care

The calves are well-managed, weaned for 45 days, and receive comprehensive health care. They are dewormed, vaccinated with Ultraback 7/Somubac and Bovi-Shield Gold One, and are knife cut, ensuring proper handling and management.
